I just spoke to my sister-in-law.  Who also happens to be a very good friend.  Who also happens to baby-sit my boys from time to time.  In fact she looked after them both full-time when they were younger, but now that they’re both in school, she only watches them on school holidays and twice a week during summer vacation.  And they LOVE going to her house.  It’s like being on vacation.  Swimming in her pool, treats whenever they feel like it, trips to the park and an older cousin to shadow around all day.  She also watches other children, so there’s always lots going on and plenty of friends to play with when they’re there.  Good times, good times.  In fact they’re there today, and she’s also invited them for a sleep-over for this coming Monday night.  They’re very excited.

But she has just informed me that one of the kids she watches has a case of head lice.  LICE!  Of course that girl’s parents were questioning where their daughter would have contracted it, so my SIL started poking around all the other kid’s heads.  Sure enough – turns out one girl is infested!  UGH!  How you can be infested and not know something is up is beyond me.

So I’m off to pick up my boys.  To get them out of there ASAP.  Like Bill Clinton swooping in to rescue 2 American journalists from a North Korean prison.  Before one of those little crawly suckers decides to jump ship right onto one of my boy’s heads.  And besides, I’m suddenly feeling very itchy . . .
