So for the past week I’ve been thinking about getting my nose pierced. Not a ring or a barbell or anything gross – just a very tiny little diamond stud through the side. Why? I have no idea. I’m a very conservative, middle-aged mother. What on earth would I want with a nose stud?! And yet I want one. I think it’s kinda pretty. I think it’s kinda intriguing. My husband thinks I’m having a middle life crisis. Perhaps. But really – what’s the harm? If I don’t like it – I simply remove it and it grows over. If I grow tired of it in a few years – I just remove it.
I’ve also wanted to get a tattoo for awhile now, but there are three things stopping me:
#1 – I can’t decide what image to get
#2 – I can’t decide where on my body to get it
#3 – what if I don’t like the way it turns out (I’m a bit of a perfectionist), or how it looks on my skin when I’m much older?
So I think a little nose stud it will be. But how long will it take me to get up the nerve . . .

I’d go with the piercing rather than the tattoo. A little star tattoo now might look more like a shooting star when you’re a senior – LOL
