Definitely a screaming kid. But not just the regular “come feed me” or “I’m bored and want to mess with you” screams that I have gotten quite used to. That blood curdling, I’m in so much pain and what the heck is happening to me kind of scream. It happens rarely, thank god, but those times when your little one is sick or in pain is the worst – because there is no way you are going back to sleep after that . . .

Hey, I found you through Foxy. Your blog is super cute and you have great commenters. Sadly, I have no funny story about being woken up in the middle of the night by a fire alarm and being rescued and swept off my feet by a super-hot fireman. Pretty sure that was a dream…I need a more exciting life or maybe just more beeping devices in my home.

Once in college, I woke up to the fire alarm, it was 4 am and 20 degrees outside, I was still half drunk, and it wasn’t till I was outside that I realized I was in booty shorts, a paper thin camisole, and a very very thin blanket…outside in the freeeeeezing with mixed company…oy the embarassment!

Also, once woke up to someone who had broken into my dorm and was taking my comforter off my bed WHILE I WAS IN IT….so scary!

OMG – the smoke alarms in my house. The battery ALWAYS seems to go dead in the middle of the night… never at a more appropriate, say afternoon, hour.

First example: those “bleeping” dogs next door!!!!!!!! Although I was up BEFORE them this morning! Second example: my husband thinking I was one of the bad guys in a dream he was having and starting to beat up on me!
