I would rather have snow. I miss the snow. All the talk about "snow-pocalypse" back home made me terribly homesick.

Mud can be fun, too.

But the snow that comes in the house stuck to the coats and hats and gloves and boots eventually melts. All over your floor. Not so nice.

You WALK to work?!?! Hate you.

And yes, the driving, and accompanying traffic, completely sucks. And the cold. And the wind. And it's not all soft and fluffy. Sometimes it's just wet and heavy. But mainly just yucky.

SNOW SNOW a million times SNOW! I like to hike and camp as much as the next gal, but I absolutely could never tolerate being THAT messy. And tracking it through the house afterwards. No thanks!

With Spring comes mud, something I have learned to adapt to as a mom. I have taken some of my kids' older clothes, stuff with holes and whatnot, and these are their designated "play clothes." The nice stuff for school is changed out of when they get home and the play clothes (including cruddy shoes) are donned for outside play. I wash those only as needed, sometimes letting them be worn more than once between washings *gasp*. This saves me laundry headaches and lets them explore what they want without fear of my wrath.

Mud monsters must head straight to the bathroom when entering the house, no exceptions. Strip the muddies off in the tub and grab a shower while you're at it. Helps keep the house from getting muddy and rinses off the heavier mud into the tub (clothes are in the shower with the kid). Wrapped in a towel, they can go change, leaving the freshly rinsed muddies to drip dry in the shower.

Can we have some of that snow?

I walk to work anyway and hardly drive anywhere.. that's the only downside to snow right? The driving?

Other than that it's soft and fluffy and fun and awesome? I really want snow.

I guess we all want what we can't have.

If it's all the same to you, I would prefer NOT to have any of your mud monsters or your snow, thank you very much. But I would probably be very anal about cleaning mud-caked anything. Kind of like when it does snow...would you rather shovel an inch at a time as it comes down or 8 inches all at once. Yeah..it's like that. And I would rather have rain. Because rain means temps above 32 degrees and that sounds like sweet orgasmic bliss to me right now. Warmth. Oooo, ahhhhh...

I am going into a mild cardiac arrest right now. I would DIE if Jason walked up looking like this. DIE.

I know, I know. Boys will be boys, but can't they remain farily clean and not touch me whilst not clean?

i never cared for mud. we have a lot of it- the 4-6 inches they predicted for today has been nothing but slush...but i would prefer snow, or sunshine please.
i always end up up north (nh, maine, vt) in mud season (b/c the hotels are the cheapest then) and it is always ick.

I ONLY WISH i lived in a place where I saw snow. But alas, all I get is mud. Some people live in Texas because they like the lack of snow. But me? I wish I saw more of the changing seasons.

ps - i took a photo in my Canadian gear last night - plan to post it today!! :)
